Facilities

At Xavier College, we are passionate about maintaining and developing teaching, learning and living environments that fully support educational outcomes, nurture our spiritual journey and inspire us to be the best version of ourselves.

Our buildings consist of both stunningly restored historical spaces and state of the art, architecturally designed learning spaces that help us to achieve our learning goals.

Xavier College continues to undergo an unprecedented transformation of our campuses and built form environments. This continues to be an exciting period in our proud history.

In 2019, the College completed its new Strategic Plan – XC150.

In 2020, Xavier announced a key restructure of the College, centred across two campuses and the strategic shift of moving Years 7 and 8 to the Senior Campus.

Consequently, a comprehensive Master Plan was developed and endorsed that provided the development blueprint for the College into the foreseeable future. Encompassing the entire footprint of the College, the Master Plans for the Junior School and the Senior School ensure that the strategic vision for Xavier is aligned with the purposeful development of the College's facilities. More details on the Xavier Master Plan can be found at the bottom of this page.

Kostka Building

In 2024, the state-of-the-art Kostka Building for Years 7 and 8 students was completed on time and on budget. The precinct also included a carpark and new changing facilities beneath the Chapel Oval.

This significant investment created an exceptional facility that provided outstanding opportunities for our Year 7 and 8 students.

Positioned on the northern boundary of Xavier’s grounds, the Kostka Building enjoys an idyllic location overlooking the sports fields, with views extending toward the CBD.

Eldon Hogan Performing Arts Centre (Senior School)

In 2008, the Eldon Hogan Performing Arts Centre (EHPAC), a state-of-the-art theatre complex, opened at the Senior Campus. It is used by Xavier College’s Drama and Music Departments from across both campuses and has seating capacity for up to 500 people.

Sports Centre – Senior School

Sport, Health and Physical Education programs at the Senior Campus are supported by the Xavier Sports Centre, a comprehensive facility designed to elevate student performance and wellbeing.

The College has recently relocated and upgraded its strength and conditioning facilities. A new weights training room has been established, offering an exceptional space for students to develop fitness and resilience.

Beyond the Sports Centre, students have access to outdoor flexipave and synthetic floodlit tennis courts, as well as six sports ovals for football (AFL), soccer and rugby. Roche Oval, one of the College’s most recognised grounds, is now floodlit to extend training and playing opportunities.
